Burial - Street Halo

on his first solo release since his massive 2007 lp Untrue, Burial returns with a three song ep that once again solidifies his status as one of the most groundbreaking electronic producers of the past decade--or any decade.  his sound captures the dark ambience of a city shaking off the day and settling in for a fitful night's sleep.  deep seeded urban decay, heartbreak, longing, and the pains of being lonely and insecure at heart all mix for a potent cocktail of emotions that is both intoxicating and empty much too quickly.  each track is a powerhouse, marking 'stolen dog' as perhaps his most ambitious tune to date.  hopefully the announcement of his next release won't leave us feeling duped.
